What is a PD (pupillary distance) measurement?
PD is the distance between the centres of your pupils, in millimetres. Online opticians need it to position your prescription lenses correctly - and most charge to measure it. SpecFit measures yours free from the guided 3D scan on Face ID iPhones, to about ±1 mm. It's an estimate, not a medical measurement, and doesn't replace an optician's exam.
Does it work without Face ID / TrueDepth?
Yes - upload a single clear selfie and every try-on feature works. The 3D rotate view and metric measurements (PD, face width, bridge) need the depth scan, so those are Face ID-iPhone only.
Can I try on glasses from any store?
Paste a product link from any online shop and SpecFit extracts the frames and renders them on your face in seconds - one credit, exactly like a curated style, alongside the full 50-style wall.
Is my face data private?
The scan never leaves your iPhone. Only the one photo you approve is transmitted - encrypted - to generate renders, and it isn't stored. No account, no tracking, no ads. Details in the privacy policy.
